Theme: At the Seaside

The theme for this half term will be At the Seaside; the things and events associated with it.

We will also be talking about holidays at the seaside and what we might see there. We will look at summer clothing and of course sun hats and skin protection. What summer would be complete without an umbrella or two, one for the sun and one for the rain.

Please try to encourage your child’s interest by talking about this subject at home, perhaps looking at the creatures to be found in the sea, on the beach or in the rock pools.

You may like to bring photographs of a summer holiday or visit; holiday brochures and books related to the theme. We will have an interest table, so if you have any items that epitomise summertime, bring them with you but please ensure that your child’s name is clearly marked on them.
