Let it Snow
Let it Snow
This is an exciting and busy term at Goostrey pre-school and we will be looking at many areas which fall under the theme of Let it snow.
Topics covered include bonfire night and the Antarctic and Arctic. We will also be discussing the effects of cold and hot in contrast to the two themes.
Childrens stories which link to the cold will also be discussed and on the 3rd of November we will be having regular trips to the mobile library to encourage the childrens love of literature.
Toward the end of the term we will be getting ready for Christmas with lots of exciting activities planned and the children will be getting ready for the annual Nativity. (Details to follow)
As always we will keep parents informed and if you would like to discuss you childs development then please feel free to speak to you childs key worker. In order for your child to get the best out of our pre-school we feel it is important to communicate with parents as much as possible.
We will keep you informed of any changes in the activities as the term progresses as childrens learning should be child initiated. If any parent would like to get involved then please see me: Sarah stammers.

During weeks 6 and 7 we will be getting ready for all of the Christmas festivities.
We are using the Jolly phonics scheme for the sounds of letters. Please see a member of staff if you require more information.
