People Who Help Us

During this period we will be discussing the way that people help us and considering their roles in society. The objective is to encourage the children to participate and interact in a group setting, to listen consider and talk about the environment they live in.

Parents may like to discuss the topic at home, talking about visits to the doctor, dentist and the library. Also the service performed by people that have a more visible role, the Crossing attendant, the Police, Fire-fighters and Ambulance paramedics. Each group having distinctive symbols; uniforms and vehicles; colours and sounds.

For increased involvement and participation, you may have books, toys and artefacts that you would like your child to bring in so that we can display on our interest table. However please ensure that any items are clearly marked so that they can be returned to the rightful owner.
