Jessica

Jessica

Deputy Manager

My name is Jess, I have worked in childcare for nearly 12 years and have a level 3 in Early Years Education. I am a very creative person and feel very passionate about encouraging children to find their creativity. It is a privilege to be able to support children’s development in their early years. I have a little boy Oakley who attends Pre-School and feel very lucky I get to watch him blossom and build friendships.

Outside of Pre-School we love visiting museums, parks, farms and going on walks.

Emily

Emily

Pre-School teacher

I am Emily, I’m the Early Years Teacher leading the Butterfly Group and have been working in early years education for over six years. Having lived in Goostrey my whole life—and even attended this Pre-School as a child—I feel a special connection to the community and our setting. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and working on renovating my home in the village.

Christina

Christina

My name is Christina, after a successful career for over 20 years as a florist I decided it was time for a change. I saw an opportunity to follow my passion for early years education and took on a role at my local Pre-School which I loved! I am now a qualified level 3 practitioner with several years’ experience working in early years.

I am married with two lovely teenage boys and enjoy spending time with my family going on long walk and visiting local national trust parks.

Ruth

Ruth

I'm Ruth, and I am mum of four, as well as an owner of a dog, cat, tortoises and several fish; it’s a very busy household! I am a trainee childcare practitioner and I am very much enjoying working at Goostrey Pre-school; the children are just fantastic and everyday is different and special. I love having little chats with the children throughout the day, and being allowed to join in with their games. Being a part of their journey of development and preparation for school is a privilege.

Nicola

Nicola

Hello,

My name is Nicola, I graduated with a degree in Microbiology and then went on to become a qualified teacher in the 1990’s! For the last 14 years I have worked in Early Years and have always had a passion for this age range. Young children have such enthusiasm and wonder about the world around them and I see my role as offering them many different opportunities and experiences to learn from. I particularly enjoy baking, gardening and exploring the train set with the children, I have also been told I am a great playdough maker! Away from work I have two grown up sons who I am very proud of and enjoy spending time with, I also love to travel with my husband and we are try to visit all of the states in America, only 9 more to go!
